  • Overview

    Pace Analytical Services, LLC., a leading national analytical laboratory is seeking highly motivated candidates for a Laboratory Technician I in the Metals department at their laboratory in Ormond Beach, FL.

     

    Hours are Tuesday - Saturday 2:00 am – 10:30 am with the probability of overtime and possibly some weekend hours. Training will be first shift.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyzing or preparing samples in an efficient and organized manner, using approved Pace Analytical procedures.
    • Preparing reagents and standards
    • Keeping logbooks up-to-date.
    • Keeping the laboratory clean and safe.
    • Disposing of samples and chemicals.
    • Assisting other lab personnel with analysis, data checking and approval and handling simple calculations.
    • Follows Pace Analytical Services, LLC policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

     

    • High school diploma or equivalent; experience of less than two years with familiarity of laboratory procedures preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
    • The individual should be self-motivated, ambitious, hard working, and able to work independently with an eye for attention to detail.
    • Must be able to multitask efficiently and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
    • Physical requirements include, walking, bending, and carrying. Must also have hand and finger dexterity, and the ability to lift 25 lbs.
