  • Overview

    Responsible for providing sampling services to clients mainly in waste water area. Provide revenue through billable labor for Field Department.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily set ups of sampling equipment and flow monitoring
    • Daily maintenance of equipment (cleaning and repair)
    • Construct and install primary flow measurement devices (weirs, flames)
    • Interact daily with clients
    • Preparing and/or analyzing samples based on published methods and Standard Operating Procedures
    • Preparing standards and reagents as applicable
    • Documenting all lab activities in applicable logbooks and databases (e.g. sample prep, sample analysis, standard and reagent prep, instrument maintenance, etc.)
    • Entering data into LIMS or other databases) as applicable
    • Disposing of samples, by-products, and waste products per required procedures
    • Reviewing data from other analysts, if applicable
    • Attending required company and department meetings
    • Completing required training activities within required timeframes
    • Promotes cooperation and teamwork among staff
    • Must follow Pace Analytical Services, LLC Policies and Standard Operating Procedures

    Qualifications

    • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • The employee must have the ability to lift equipment in excess of 75 pounds
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
    • Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office products especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and the ability to multi task between products
