Chemist (Non-Lab)

The Chemist will work in an R&D office and lab environment to coordinate the evaluation of new raw material vendors to be used as alternate sources for existing raw materials.


Note: This position is expected to last 1 year.


  • Run system queries, data manipulation and translation to identify divisions needed for approval
  • Participate with other staff to determine work plan for project per divisional product requirements

  • Coordinate sample requests and analysis

  • Work with department and business teams/divisions to determine required lab, pilot work or production scale work and develop workable time lines that fit the needs of project

  • Generate Final Report that includes work-up and translation of analytical work around RM stability, performance and BOQ summary’s for specific project

  • Provide basis for solid technical conclusions and expectations with recommendations and timing

  • Ensure proper update of specifications, BOM’s and complete EPIC and Tech transfer work

  • Write technical papers and reports and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products or tests 


  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline required
  • 2-3 years' experience working in an R&D office and/or lab environment
  • Ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently
