Overview

Responsible for sales assistance and administrative tasks for field related services in a regional territory, market research and regulation surveillance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify market opportunities through use of internet, associations, etc
  • Research government regulations for Air, Wastewater and Groundwater
  • Actively participate in trade shows, industry associations & professional 
  • Mine customer corporate research information to determine client contact
  • Conduct mailings, make cold calls and generate leads
  • Prepare quotes and proposals, conduct sales presentations
  • Collaborate with field and lab staff for project pricing and scheduling
  • Track sales calls and quotes for FSD for reporting purposes
  • Attend sales meetings and participate in training programs
  • Meet sales goals, expand client list & increase revenues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S./BBA) from four-year College or university; or five plus years related experience in an environmental or laboratory field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated with good organizational and communication skills
  • Strong sense of customer service and dedication are very important
  • Available to travel
  • Ability to read and interpret common scientific technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to prepare written documents, use excel tables that conform to prescribed style and format
  • Ability to effectively present information to clients and management in a professional manner
  • Ability to solve practical problems, define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
