Serves as the primary liaison between customers and operations through daily coordination of activities including overseeing sample logins, maintaining customer records, and assuring that final reports are sent to the customers.


This position will be working with environmental clients that are testing for wastewater, hazardous waste or other general environmental testing. Project Managers are the liaison between the customer and the laboratory. Fast paced position that requires good customer service skills as well as an ability to learn and apply knowledge.


Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM


  • Preparing routine quotations and reports
  • Soliciting work requests and assisting with proposal and project initiation/preparation
  • Mediating of project schedules and scope of work through communication with operations and management
  • Assisting in setting data quality objectives and defining data deliverable requirements
  • Responsible for project setup, oversight of sample receipts, monitoring project status and ensuring that samples are collected, analyzed, documented and reported in conformance with client requirements
  • Submitting project status reports to clients and Pace management as applicable
  • Submitting project deliverables and invoice to the customer
  • Responsible for customer follow-up including customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for reporting opinions and interpretations on final reports based on personal experience and input from operations
  • Responsible for scheduling sample preparation and analysis activities based on customer’s requests
  • Promoting cooperation and teamwork among staff
  • Following Pace policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Other duties as assigned


  • BA/BS in chemistry or related science preferred with 2 years technical experience in environmental remediation
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors both verbally and in writing
