Overview

Pace Analytical Services, LabOps Div., Instrument Support Group (ISG) has an immediate opening for a salesperson/account executive with a knowledge of analytical chemistry laboratory equipment. This individual will be responsible for meeting growth targets through the sale of on-site instrumentation services to new and existing customers in the Indianapolis area.

Responsibilities

  • Sell ISG service offerings, including service contracts and billable services (maintenance, repairs, qualifications)
  • Research and identify prospective customers within greater Indianapolis
  • Contact prospective customers via telephone calls, face-to-face visits and e-mails
  • Track daily interaction with clients for compliance and reporting purposes
  • Attend and engage in sales and product training
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and yearly sales goals
  • Manage and grow existing ISG accounts in Indianapolis
  • Define and implement annual personal sales strategy with assistance from LabOps Sales Director
  • Collaborate with operational staff to support customer accounts throughout the entire sales process (sale to completion of services)
  • Generate leads through participation in trade organizations, networking groups, and trade shows/industry meetings

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Biology or other related sciences
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry lab equipment through hands-on laboratory experience or previous sales experience including GC, HPLC, dissolution, IC, mass spec and more
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and hard worker
  • Flexible to change
  • Aggressive and persistent approach to sales, not easily discouraged
  • Works well with a variety of personalities and communication styles
  • Able to plan, organize, and prioritize work with little or no supervision
  • Comfortable presenting information to a group in a professional manner
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (sales calls, trade shows, industry events, etc.)
  • Capable of handling confidential matters/information discreetly
  • Strong MS Word and MS Excel skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred: Sales experience to analytical laboratories
