Overview

This candidate will perform routine laboratory experiments as part of a quality group involved in infection prevention.  

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine sterile and quality analysis of products
  • Perform release, stability, and other testing for products
  • Sample collection, preparation, analysis, and interpretation results
  • Disposing of samples and chemicals
  • Planning, setting up and undertaking controlled experiments and trials
  • Solution preparation
  • Waste handling duties to include: labeling containers, understanding storage time limits, performing proper satellite accumulation, ensuring adequate space between waste containers, ensuring all waste containers are closed/incompatible materials are stored separately, understanding secondary containment, and documenting weekly inspections (if applicable)
  • Operate and maintain a variety of instruments
  • Participate in preparation of reports, oral presentation of data and results, and proper documentation of experimental results in an electronic notebook
  • Ensuring lab operates safely and in compliance with GMPs
  • Ordering and maintaining stock and resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science field 
  • Ability to work independently or within a team and multitask in a fast-paced lab
  • 0-1 years of experience working in a GMP laboratory
  • Basic analytical techniques – viscosity, water content, physical testing, UV testing
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
