The EHS Specialist will work to develop new safety procedures and assist with implementation of these procedures, site inspections, and work with waste process management. This position has both laboratory and non-laboratory responsibilities.


  • Write, maintain, and develop laboratory Standard operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes such as Lock Out Tag Out or Confined Space procedures
  • Coordinating- including but not limited to: creation of laboratory requests, chain-of-custody forms, incident/injury follow up, and data quality control reviews
  • Input data into central operating program for analysis and trending and communicates to plant operations and management
  • Maintain laboratory equipment including troubleshooting, calibrations, and routine sample analysis (pH meter, HACH spectrometer)
  • Conduct and document Hazardous Waste 90 Day storage area inspections in appointed areas


  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or related discipline
  • Master's in Environmental, Health, and Safety or related discipline -- or 2-5 years of EHS experience preferred
  • Possess problem solving and risk analysis skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, team player, self-motivated, results-oriented, and highly productive
  • US Person status required
