Overview

Our Instrument Support Group (ISG) allows chemists to do hands-on work and interact directly with our clients; an ISG chemist can expect every day to be different. ISG specializes in instrumentation such as GC, GC/MS, HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS, LC/MS/MS, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, and Dissolution. While the instrumentation is complex, our Instrument Support Group has an extensive training program for new employees, as well as ongoing training to ensure that our employees’ capabilities meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. Our ISG Specialists have multifaceted skill sets including: strong technical aptitude, great customer service, and troubleshooting/problem resolution techniques. The Instrument Support Group has been operating for fifteen years, achieving rapid and steady growth on an annual basis. This growth allows multiple advancement opportunities for our employees as we continue to expand in the national market.

 


 

Our Instrument Services Specialist is responsible for providing technical solutions and advanced level instrument support services to customers of ISG, including but not limited to external clients, laboratory chemists within the Pace laboratories, and co-workers of the Instrument Support Group. Our Instrument Services Specialist is responsible for providing our customers with a variety of support services associated with their analytical instrumentation. These services include routine maintenance, operational and performance testing, hardware and software troubleshooting, instrument repair, and personnel training.

Responsibilities

  • Instrument preventive maintenance, installation, repair & performance testing
  • Instrument refurbishment
  • Application software installation and troubleshooting
  • On-site and remote customer support
  • Provide technical training on analytical systems
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers

Qualifications

  • BS degree in chemistry or related science
  • 2-5 years of experience working with HPLC, LCMS or GC, GCMS
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to travel up to 25 percent
