Summary:

We are actively seeking a candidate to join our Equipment Support team as an Electronics Technician. This is a non-laboratory position. The ideal candidate is one who thrives working in a highly dynamic, team- oriented environment sharing the common goal of ensuring our PaceLink Continous Monitoring System (CMS) remains in service allowing us to provide our clients with the information they need to improve the safety and effectiveness of materials produced and used in pharmaceutical and medical device products.

The Technician is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and updating the CMS system.  New CMS inputs are routinely added and existing inputs are routinely scheduled for calibration and qualification activities.  Repairs, changes and relocation are also necessary for inputs.  System support activities are recorded on worksheets and forms.  The Technician reports to the Equipment Support Group Leader and is part of the Quality Assurance department.

 

The ideal candidate is self-guided and highly motivated, demonstrating a strong sense of initiative and flexibility, desire to collaborate with all departments and an interest in continuing to acquire new knowledge and skills. 

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and update the PaceLink CMS that will include low-voltage electrical wiring, sensor configuration, database entry, creating system backups, and data conversions
  • Perform review of equipment and facility calibration, preventive maintenance and qualification activities, ensuring that equipment and facilities remain in service
  • Maintain LIMS database with current equipment information and status
  • Participate in Incoming Inventory, Decommissioning, Repair, Change Request Form and Out of Tolerance report processes as appropriate
  • Write / update equipment SOPs and Qualification Protocols as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain computer skills related to work performed, including, as appropriate, familiarity with laboratory computer applications (e.g., Perkin Elmer iLab, Horizon LIMS)
  • Assure all work performed is compliant with Pace Analytical Life Sciences SOPs and general regulatory requirements
  • Become familiar and regularly updated with quality and regulatory policies associated with the area
  • Participate in quality, cGMP, safety, method and technique training appropriate for their area
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to SOPs and Good Documentation Practices within a cGMP environment
  • Basic knowledge of DC electronics
  • Basic computer programming experience (visual basic, C++, etc)
  • Experience performing calibrations and validations in a FDA regulated industry preferred
  • Experience writing SOPs and QPs in a FDA regulated industry preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and be flexible with changing priorities
  • College degree preferable
  • Quality System experience preferred
  • Some travel required to other PLS sites (e.g. Boston, New Jersey, Puerto Rico)
